We have changed our upstream network to a high speed fiber optic network.
The Domain Name Servers that your computer uses to find Internet web sites
have changed from:
207.23.175.10 and 207.23.175.11 to 64.114.136.10 and 64.114.136.11.
There is no need to change anything if your computer has been set up to let the
server assign the name server addresses. The following procedures explain how to
check or change the settings. Pick the procedure that corresponds to your
computer's operating system. If you have any problems or questions, please email

For Windows 95:
Click Start/Programs/Accessories/Dial-Up Networking
Right-Click on the Jetstream connection Icon and Left-Click Properties
Click the Server Types tab
Click the TCPIP Settings button
Click the circle beside Server assigned name server addresses
Click OK on each window in turn to close out.
For Windows 98:
Click Start/Programs/Accessories/Communications/Dial-Up Networking
Right-Click on the Jetstream connection Icon and Left-Click Properties
Click the Server Types tab
Click the TCP/IP Settings button
Click the circle beside Server assigned name server addresses
Click OK on each window in turn to close out.
For Windows Me:
Click Start/Settings/Dial-Up Networking
Right-Click on the Jetstream connection icon and Left-Click Properties
Click the Networking tab
Click the TCP/IP Settings button
Click the circle beside Server assigned name server addresses
Click OK on each window in turn to close out.
For Windows NT4:
Click Start/Programs/Accessories/Dial-Up Networking
Click More and then Edit entry and modem properties
Click the Server tab
Click the TCP/IP Settings button
Click the circle beside Server assigned name server addresses
Click OK, Click OK, then click Close
For Windows 2000:
Click Start/Settings/Network and Dial-up Connections
Right-Click on the Jetstream connection Icon and Left-Click Properties
Click the Network tab
Double-Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Click the circle beside Obtain DNS Server address automatically
Click OK, then Click OK, then close Dial-up Connections window
For Windows XP:
Choose one of the following to get started:
1) Normal:
Click Start/Connect To
or
2)Classic:
Click Start/Settings/Network Connections
Then for both:
Right-Click on the Jetstream connection Icon and Left-Click Properties
Click the Properties button
Click the Networking tab
Click Internet protocol (TCP/IP)
Click the Properties button
Click the circle beside Obtain DNS server address automatically
Click OK then Click OK.
For Macintosh Computers using FreePPP or Config PPP and MacTCP:
Click the Apple Menu
Click Control Panels
Double-Click MacTCP
Click the More... button
In the Obtain Address section click Manually
Change the Gateway Address to 0.0.0.0
Change the domain server from 207.23.175.10 to 64.114.136.10
Change the domain server from 207.23.175.11 to 64.114.136.11
Go back to the Obtain Address section and click Server
Click OK
Close MacTCP control panel
Restart the Macintosh as prompted.
For Macintosh Computers using Remote Access:
Click on the Apple Menu
Go down to Control Panels, click on TCP/IP
Connect via should say "PPP"
Configure should say "Using PPP Server"
IP address should say "will be supplied by server"
Subnet mask should say "will be supplied by server"
Router address should say "will be supplied by server"
Remove the Internet numbers from the Name Server addr box. Leave it blank.
Remove anything that is in the Search domains box.
Close the window
Click Save
For Macintosh Computers using Remote Access with OS 8.1 or less:
Click on the Apple Menu
Go down to Control Panels, click on TCP/IP
Connect via should say "PPP"
Configure should say "Using PPP Server"
IP address should say "will be supplied by server"
Subnet mask should say "will be supplied by server"
Router address should say "will be supplied by server"
Name Server addr box: change numbers to 64.114.136.10 "return" 64.114.136.11
Search domains box should have jetstream.net in it.
Close the window
Click Save
For Windows 3.1:
If you are using Trumpet Winsock to connect:
Open Trumpet Winsock.
Press ESC key to stop dialling (if it does that automatically).
Click File, then Setup
Change the Name server to 64.114.136.10 "space" 64.114.136.11
Click OK, then OK again.
Close Trumpet before using it again.
If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.02 with Microsoft Dialler:
Open the Microsoft Internet Explorer group
Double-Click the Jetstream Icon
Click the Properties Button
Click the TCP/IP Settings tab
Change Primary DNS to 64.114.136.10
Change Secondary DNS to 64.114.136.11
Click OK
Click Close
Click Yes to Save the settings.
